This sounds like there is a problem with the barrel interlock lugs. After a period of use, the slide will begin to demonstrate the problem you are describing. From my experience there are two things that seem to work quite well to restore proper functioning. One is a maintenance item and the other is lubrication.
1. Remove the slide/barrel assembly from the frame. 2. Remove the spring, guide rod and spring cap. 3. Rotate the barrel lug and attempt to slide the barrel out the front of the slide. 4. Normally the barrel will slide out quite easily through the front of the slide. If it will not come out that's an indicator of what to do next. Even if you are able to remove the barrel continue with the following steps. 5. Located on the rear portion of the barrel is a cast metal piece held together with two flat head Phillips machine screws. There is a third round head Phillips which is not a part of this repair. Using a small Phillips screw driver, tighten the two flat head machine screws that hold the cast metal halves together. One of the screws may be partially hidden by the outer barrel shroud. Slide the inner barrel back to gain access to the second flat head screw. 6. After tightening these two screws, you should be able to remove the barrel from the slide. You may want to test this. 7. Replace the barrel into the slide. 8. Replace the spring cap, spring and guide rod. 9. Using a cotton swab, paper towel etc. carefully clean the slide rails. After cleaning place a very small amount of silicon lubricant in the slide rail guides. WARNING: Using a petroleum based oil will cause the silicon components in the slide to swell causing complete failure of the airguns ability to fire correctly. 10. Replace the slide and test for functionality.
I have performed this procedure on a half dozen airguns with success. I believe the manufacturer does not use any thread lock material and coupled with the concussion from repeated shooting causes the flat head screws to loosen over time. A periodic check of tightness should be a regular maintenance check.
If you have trouble locating a source of silicon oil, check a home improvement center in their plastic rain gutter department and look for silicon lubricant. Other souces of airsoft equipment online also carry silicon lubricants specifically for airsoft.
